atama was the first Japanese head spa to be created in Australia, founded in 2019 by hair, scalp, and wellness expert Gabriel Skalic.

Having spent years travelling between Australia and Japan, learning from renowned practitioners and masters, Gabriel developed a unique method that combines a number of different rituals and is founded on holistic healing, health, and beauty.

The Skalic Method is practiced by all atama therapists and is adapted to the individual needs of each client.

Our Space

The atama space has been designed to emulate stillness. The studio is white and silent, encouraging detachment from the clutter and noise of the outside world.
